Normal race is the original and main gamemode of SuperTuxKart.
This mode is considered more random than Time Trial because it contains gift powerups on the track, unlike Time Trial which only has one zipper per lap for a player, and all bananas. Thus, normal race is not typically used for speedruns.
Still, it is the most played racing gamemode of STK.
