Zen Garden
Zen Garden is an official STK track, created by Jean-Manuel Clémencon (samuncle).
History
Zen Garden replaced Secret Garden as an offical track since version 0.7.3. Secret Garden has the same minimap as Zen Garden, but a different theme and not so advanced graphics. It is still available as addon.
Description
Zen Garden is most suitable for light weight karts. A normal lap takes about 23 seconds, so the default lap number is 4.
Immediately after the start, the track, a brown trail, turns sharply to the left. The track then keeps turning quite a lot (right, left, right) before it turns left onto a wooden bridge that leads players over a river. Before the bridge, players can cut a curve by driving through the forest. The bridge itself makes a 180 degree curve before leading into a cave. In the cave, the track does a long curve until the road is over the original road that was driven at the start of the cave. The track ends a few metres after the cave, with one more turn to the left between the cave's end and the start/finishline.
The landscape next to the track mostly consists of trees and one Japanese-like tower. The track is considered to be quite chaotic as there are a lot of places with nitros and gifts and also an excessive amount of bananas. Although it is an interesting track and never boring, Zen Garden is due to rather bad graphics and often chaotic races rather unpopular for online gaming.
