Grand Prix Cup rules

1. Dates: Nov 14, 15, 28, 29.
2. Format: Two individual GPs per day. GPs start at 19:30 and 20:30 UTC. Scoring inside a GP is as follows:

   Players are ordered in the overall standings of the cup according to the sum of their 3 best GPs.
3. Maps: chosen ingame. You have to install all standard maps. You are encouraged to install as many addons maps as you like.
4. Items: random powerups on Nov 14, rebalanced powerups on Nov 28, standard powerups otherwise.
5. Who can play: Anyone who joins, at most 20 players can play. Competition host cannot play.
   However, the 12 players from the List below have a slot on the server reserved for them, that is, they can join anytime they want. If n players from the List join, the first 20 - n joining non-List players can play.
   List: Cirno_del_Nueve, FoxyMax57, Le-stig, matahina, mimiz, MK_Fernandez, nascartux, NickerAban, rmc17, RowdyJoe, windowsxp.msi, xue_stk.
   Explanation of the list follows at the end of this page.
6. Classifications:
   • General classification: counts as one of seven equal categories.

Guaranteed slots qualification

kimden: In the middle of August, I decided to find out who were the best players in GPs this year according to certain criteria:

• For each of two first GPs per day regardless of actual scoring, the scoring 60-48-38-30-24-19-15-12-9-7-5-4-3-2-1 was applied.
• I counted the best quarter of all GPs for each player.

I decided to use it to select 8 guaranteed players, and also use it for the 6 next GP weeks to select 4 more players, which is why on Aug 21, a slight announcement was posted on Discord, promising a slight bonus to those who participates in the next GPs.
